My Maniacs

December, 2012…

I absolutely love the boys in my life.

Devin just turned 11.  Wesley is 6.  Chris is stepdad.  (Do I have to say how old he is?  Because he’s a year younger than me.  How annoying… so I decided that every year on my birthday, I turn 22.  As Devin ages, it’s getting more difficult to convince anyone of this.)

Like most brothers, Devin and Wesley are best friends and worst enemies… and never get along better than when they realize they are both in disagreement with me.

They unite against me in many a valiant cause… these are our pet worms, and they are going to live in our house… can the floor of our room be so covered in toys and clothes that the carpet will disappear?… this mud is excellent for tracking through the house when we want a reaction out of Mom!… what will happen if we dump all of these chemicals together in the name of science exploration?  Quite the mischevious pair… and too smart for their own good!  As you can see, Chris likes to get in on their antics…

These three guys make me laugh so hard and smile so much, that I can only imagine how boring life would be without them… and appreciate how blessed I am to have them in my life.  Last spring, we received another blessing.

Lainey is the new kid on the block.

She is 7 and a half months old as I write this.  Though she sometimes doesn’t know what to think of them…

…between her brothers and her dad, she will be the most overprotected princess who ever walked the Earth… a snowboarding princess if Wesley has anything to say about it…

…a gaming princess if Devin has anything to do with it…

Lucky for all three…

** Update… Tristan Gabriel was born 8/1/2013… and baby makes 4!
